I put corner cabinets on both the wall and the base, so there is no wasted space. We don't have the same selection with unfinished cabinets, so you can't have full face doors and we have to double the top row of cabinets. It's still nearly $3,200 less than the first option.

Below is a sample contract. Yours would be similar, depending on the final cabinet decision.

2. Then I review the estimate (spreadsheet) and tweak anything I left out or had too much of, etc.
3. Prepare a proposed construction schedule.
4. Fix a simple contract and I'll post it here first for you to review. It will ask for 100% of the cabinet money (actual cabinet costs) + 20% labor up front, which would be about $5,860 as currently presented. This may change before your ready to sign. For example: You may want the room painted or you might want a new sink and faucet, etc. Then approximately three additional payments of $2521 where one of those is upon completion. So, it's $5860 up front, a payment of $2521 usually a week after starting and another a week after that. Then a final $2521 when we finish.
Here are the cabinet colors.
Jennifer & Jeff,
Here is just a basic drawing. I haven't colored it or ironed out some details, but I wanted you to have a peak and I should have an estimate by the weekend and a better drawing. The flooring is just what my program had first and of course we would keep your existing floor.
My estimate only includes laminate tops. If you want anything else, you will need to hire a subcontractor for that. But below is a photo of how much better laminate looks today compared to just a few years ago. This particular piece is $180. It is about 60 - 70% less than a solid surface. If the piece below was granite or quartz, it would run about $550 and would not have a backsplash or the nose detail.
